Tamarindo is located in the province of Guanacaste, on Costa Rica's northwest Pacific coast. Driving time from the capital city, San Jose', is 5 hours on paved roads.The new international airport in Liberia, Guanacaste, is just 45 minute drive from town.The Tamarindo airport is located 2 miles outside the village, with an airtrip serviced 7days a week by two airlines, Sansa ( flysansa.com ),the national one ,and Travelair, a private one. You will take just a 45 minute flight from San Jose.

We established there Agua Rica Diving Center in 1994 and since then, we have acquired deep knowledge of the local dives sites,marine life,sea conditions, etc.
