Manta rays are large beautiful creatures that are completely harmless.They have no teeth,no tail stingers and no form of defense other than their large size and amazing speed. They just eat plankton and small fish that they scoope into their wide mouth helped by the unique cephalic fins atthe front of their head.

Catalinas area is an interesting location for the giant Pacific (birostris) manta ray and the big schools of hundreds of Mobulas manta rays. If you are lucky, with Agua Rica Diving Center, you'll have the unforgettable experience to dive with them in Catalina Grande and may be ride one of the Pacific ones. Our staff will train you to do it.
